Occasionally you may discover one individual has multiple person records in Banner (or other software). To ensure the accuracy of our data and to deliver good customer service to the student or employee, it is important that the duplicate records be identified and merged (if possible).
Duplicate ID's can occur for many reasons, including:
- failure to perform a complete search
- error keying data into Banner
- error keying data over the web (Self-Service)
- feeds to Banner from governmental agencies, testing agencies, etc.
Available To
All faculty and staff may report a duplicate record.
