How to Reset Your Massasoit Password


  • I would like to reset my MyMassasoit Portal password.
  • I'm having trouble logging in.
  • I forgot my password for Canvas or Email.

  • Massasoit systems like the Portal, Canvas, Email, Banner, and more largely use the same email address and password to log in (with a few exceptions). If you can log in to the Portal, your password is working and you should be able to use that same password to log into other services and web pages as well. 

Self-Service Password Reset

  • To reset your Massasoit password without being logged into your account, you must have set up two authentication methods for Self-Service Password Reset. For more information and instructions on how to set these methods up, see our Self-Service Password Reset article.

Resetting your Massasoit password without logging in first

  1. Navigate to the MyMassasoit Portal login.
  2. Click on "Can't access your account?"
  3. Click on "Work or school account; Created by your IT department." 
  4. Enter your full Massasoit email address.
    • For students, this will be and for faculty & staff this will be
  5. Enter the characters shown in the picture to verify, then click Next.
  6. At this point, you will be asked to authenticate your account using the authentication methods you previously set up for Self-Service Password Reset. Once you've authenticated, you should be all set.
    • If you see an error message saying that password reset isn't turned on for your account, it may be because you have not yet set up authentication methods for Self-Service Password Reset. To reset your password, you'll need to contact the ITS Help Desk.

Resetting your Massasoit password after logging into the MyMassasoit Portal

  1. To reset your password once you're logged into the MyMassasoit Portal, click on the 3-line menu in the top left corner of the page, then click on "My Account."
  2. In the Account Settings section, click on "Change Password."
  3. Confirm your old (current) password, then type in a new password and confirm it. The new password must be different from any of your previous Massasoit passwords and should be at least 8 characters long and contain an uppercase letter, lowercase letter, a number, and a symbol. 
  4. Once you click "Submit," the page will let you know if your password has been reset successfully or if you need to enter a different password based on the requirements.
