Issue/Question

  • The information on my Massasoit student account is outdated. How do I update my name?

Resolution

Correcting your name in your Massasoit student records as well as your username and email address is a process that involves multiple departments: 

  1. Contact Student Central.

    • Firstly, Student Central will need to update your student records to reflect your correct, up-to-date name.  
    • You can reach Student Central for help with this via email at studentcentral@massasoit.mass.edu or by phone at 508-588-9100 extension 1949.
    • Student Central can update your student records for any other personal information as well, such as your home address or phone number.
  2. Contact the ITS Help Desk.

    • Once your student records have been updated with your correct name, ITS can kick off the process to update your username and email address to reflect it. 
    • You can reach the ITS Help Desk for help with this via email at helpdesk@massasoit.mass.edu or by phone at 508-588-9100 extension 1139.
    • ITS does not have the ability to make changes to any student records.
Note: Student Central must be contacted first in this process. The ITS Help Desk cannot make any changes to usernames/email addresses until after the name change has been completed by Student Central.
