Communications is available to help in drafting and distributing press releases related to your program or event or you may draft your own release. Communications is the sole maintainer of the Massasoit News section on the website and reserves the right to determine whether a submission is an update and may not be appropriate for a press release distribution. To provide an outlet for Massasoit stories and updates not appropriate for a press release, the College has created Massasoit Spotlight, its website blog. Stories are posted there and shared via email or social media. Blog items can be written by employees, students, or Communications.
Ideally, the College will publish a press release the day of an announcement or immediately after an event. With that in mind, please share as much information as possible two to four weeks in advance of an announcement or event. Communications can also publish a media advisory in advance of an event where the press are invited.
