How do I make a channel-wide broadcast announcement in MS Teams?
Resolution
You can easily create an announcement over a single or multiple channels in MS Teams.
To do this:
- In MS Teams, click

- Choose the Team that contains the channel you wish to broadcast your announcement.
- Select the channel within that Team, be sure you are on the channel's Posts page.

- Click in the Start a New Conversation text box.

- Choose Announcement.
- Fill in the message.
- Enter a heading.
- If appropriate, enter a sub-heading.
- You can use any of the text formatting tools.
- Use the
tools to change the background color or add a graphic.

When the announcement message is complete, you can choose who can reply to it.
- Click to limit who can reply to the announcement.

Choose to add other channels to the announcement broadcast. To do this:
- Click

- Click
You will see the multiple channel broadcast options. The list is depend on your teams memberships.

- Select the channels you wish to include in your announcement broadcast.
- Click
.
- When you are ready to send the announcement, click
.
The announcement will appear in the posts page of all the selected channels.

Note the
icon in the upper right-hand corner, indicating this is a wide broadcast announcement.
Other teams members will have the option to reply.
