- How do I make a call using MS Teams?
Resolution
The Calls app in Teams allows you to quickly call via phone or video by selecting a person within Massasoit from your contact list and choosing the method (either phone or video) of communication. You can not make outside calls with Teams.
Making a Call

Click
to contact a person via phone or video (depending on that person's set up).

You will see the call screen, made up of various sections: Calls categories, the Speed Dial sheet, and the Make a Call direct dialing function.
Different listings of people
Teams phone options gives you several ways to see and use your phone information.
Speed Dial – People that you frequently call. You can easily add or edit this list. You can add to the speed dial list of create a new contact group and organize the contacts into smaller groups.
Contacts – See your Outlook contact list.
History – List of your recent previous calls.
Voice Mail – A listing of your stored voice mail in Avaya. You can re-play the voice recordings within Teams.
Picking a person to call
You can click on the contact card of the person you wish to call and either click on the audio (voice only) icon to make a “regular” call or the video icon to contact them via web cam.
- Click either call option. Teams will activate your call. If it is a phone call the audio feature will come on. If you choose the video option the Teams video screen will be activated.
