Resolution

Massasoit offers Microsoft Office 365 as a free download for faculty, staff, and active students. It includes the full suite of Microsoft Office programs - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher, Outlook, and OneDrive. It's available for Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS.

Note: The full Microsoft Office 365 program suite is not available for Chromebooks. While you can't download the Office 365 programs on a Chromebook, you can access them online via the Microsoft Office 365 Portal. Using the apps via the web this way works similarly to Google Drive (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.). For instructions on accessing and using the apps online, see our article here. 

Here are instructions on how to get Office on your device:

  1. Click here to get to the Microsoft Office Portal.
  2. On the Microsoft Sign in page, enter your Massasoit email address. 
  3. You may receive a prompt asking for which type of account to use. Select "Work or school account." 
  4. Enter your Massasoit password when prompted.
  5. Click on "Install Office." This will download the file to start the installation of Microsoft Office.
  6. Once the download is finished, run the file that was downloaded to initiate the installation.
