Accessing Shared Folders From Off-Campus

• How do I connect to my department's shared drive from off-campus?

Resolution

VPN access

• In order to connect to shared folders from off-campus, you need VPN access to connect to the Massasoit network from off-campus. If you do not have VPN access because you haven't requested it already, please do so here.
• Once you have been given VPN access, check out our articles on how to connect to it.

Accessing your shared drive(s)

To access your shared drive(s), follow these steps:

1. Hold the Windows Key on your keyboard and then press R to open up the "Run" window.
2. Type in "\\acura.massasoit.mass.edu\shared" and click "OK" or press Enter.
3. In the list of folders that comes up, find the folder that you normally access (they are named after departments) and double click on it.

You should now be in the desired shared folder. Repeat this process for any other shared drives you need to access.
