Connecting to the Massasoit Secure Wireless Network

• How do I connect to the Wi-Fi as a Massasoit student, faculty member, or staff member?

Click on the Operating System you're connecting on to skip to the instructions for it:

Windows

1. Click on the Wireless symbol in the bottom right of the screen to choose a network.
   • 
2. Select the Massasoit Secure network and click "Connect."
   • 
3. You should be prompted to enter your Massasoit username and password. Enter them and click OK to connect.
4. You may be prompted to accept or reject the certificate for the network. Choose "Connect."

Mac

1. In the top right corner of your screen, click the Wireless icon.
2. Select Massasoit Secure.
3. Enter your username and password and click "Join."

4. Click "Continue" on the next window to confirm the certificate for the network.
5. Finally, another login window may come up asking for authentication using your computer account. 

Android/Chrome OS

Note: Android and Chrome OS devices can be from several different manufacturers, such as Google, Samsung, LG, and more. Different devices may look different and have options listed in different orders or have slightly different names. Follow these instructions as closely as you can and it should work for most Android and Chrome OS devices.

1. Navigate to the Wi-Fi screen within Settings.
2. Select the "Massasoit Secure" network from the list of available networks.
3. Make sure the settings are set to the following options:
   • EAP method: PEAP
   • Phase 2 Authentication: MSCHAPV2
   • CA certificate/Online Certificate Status: Do not validate OR Use System Certificate
   • Domain: massasoit.mass.edu
   • 
4. Enter your username in the "Identity" field.
5. Leave "Anonymous identity" blank.
6. Enter your password in the "Password" field.
7. Tap "Connect."

• If the option to "Connect" is greyed out or missing, double check that you have entered the settings in correctly, most notably the CA certificate and Online Certificate Status options.

iOS

1. Navigate to the Wi-Fi screen within Settings.
2. Select the "Massasoit Secure" network from the list of available networks.

3. Enter your username and password.
4. You will be prompted to trust the Certificate, this is normal. Select "Trust" in the top right.
