How to Forward a Call on RingCentral

Body

To forward a call on RingCentral, you can: 

  • From the RingCentral app 
    1. Click Settings > Phone > Call rules and voicemail 
    2. Click the Forward all calls toggle button to enable call forwarding 
    3. Click Incoming calls and select where to forward your calls 
    4. Click Save 
  • From the desk phone 
    1. Press the Forward soft button located on the bottom of your phone screen 
  • As an admin 
    1. Sign in to RingCentral 
    2. Access your profile in the Admin Portal 
    3. Navigate to Users, then Manage Users 
    4. Select the extension you need then select Call forwarding and Voicemail 
  • Use the Forward all company calls (FACC) feature 
    1. Set up FACC in the RingCentral app for desktop and web, the mobile app, or in the RingCentral Admin Portal 
    2. You need auto-receptionist permission to set up FACC 

You can also: 

  • Set up call forwarding for work hours 
  • Prioritize which business phone number first receives calls with a Ring Group 
  • Set up custom rules for one-off call forwarding arrangements 
  • Choose the ring order for incoming calls 
  • Forward incoming calls to an external number
