Installing Wireless Certificate

Issue/Question

• ITS renewed the certificate used to verify the authenticity of the wireless authentication servers.

Resolution

• When you connect to Massasoit Secure after the certificate is renewed, you may be asked to verify and accept the new certificate. If you have not been asked to verify and accept new certificate. You will need to forget the Massasoit Secure network
• The process for verifying and accepting the new certificate varies by device and the operating system installed on the device.
• Below are the instructions to accept the new certificate for iOS (Apple) and Android devices
• If you continue to have problems connecting, please contact the ITS Help Desk.

Directions

• iOS

• Navigate to the Wi-Fi screen within Settings.
• Select the "Massasoit Secure" network from the list of available networks.
• Select the blue icon at the end of the line after Massasoit Secure

• Touch Forget this Network.

• Enter your username and password.
• You will be prompted to trust the Certificate, this is normal. Select "Trust" in the top right.

• Link to connecting to Massasoit Secure Wireless network

Andriod

• Enter your device's Settings via the app or gear icon.

• Tap on Connections.

• Tap on Wi-Fi.

• Touch and hold on Massasoit Secure and then tap Forget network from the menu that appears.

• Reconfigure your wireless network by following the instructions on this ITS support article.
