Making and receiving phone calls from home

Issue/Question

• I need to make calls using my office phone but am away from the office.

1. Open Avaya IX Workspace application. 
   

2. Once the application opens, click Configure my account.
   

3. Enter your extension as your extension and enter your password. If you require a password reset, please open a ticket. 
   

4. Engage in the tutorial to see the features of Avaya software. Click Next until done or Skip Tutorial.
   

5. External Calling: Make sure to confirm that you put the “8” before the number as if you were calling from your office phone. Press the phone button next to the number to initiate the call.
   

6. Internal Calling: You can also call internal numbers such as 1139. Press the phone button next to the number to initiate the call.
   

Troubleshooting

Calls only last one ring before hanging up

This happens when you haven't successfully signed into the Avaya system with the correct extension and password. 

1. Click on the person icon and clicking sign out.
   
   
   
2. At the login screen,  click the gear button at the top of the window.
   
3. Go to accounts and paste the password in again that was sent to you. Click done then sign-in.
