Signing Into Zoom

Issue/Question

• I am attempting to sign into Zoom, but I need directions. 

Resolution

Signing in from a Web Browser

1. Sign into the MyMassasoit Portal.
2. From the LaunchPad, click on Zoom

3. The Zoom Meetings page will launch in a new browser window or tab.

Signing in from an iOS or Android Mobile Device

1. Download Zoom.us from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
   • 
2. Launch Zoom and tap the option to Sign In.
3. Tap the option for Sign in with SSO.
   • 
4. Enter Massasoit for the company domain and continue.
   • 
5. Sign into the MyMassoit portal after it launches in the mobile web browser.
6. Allow the page to open the Zoom app.

Signing in from a Meeting Link

On a desktop web browser:

1. Sign into Zoom through the MyMassasoit Portal.
2. Click the meeting link in the invitation message.
3. The Zoom site will open in the browser. Cancel the prompts to download the Zoom desktop client.
4. It may be necessary to click the ‘download & run Zoom’ link on the page a second time and cancel to receive the ‘join from your browser’ link.

5. Once the meeting has launched, select Computer Audio or Phone Call for audio options.

On a Mobile device:

1. Tap the meeting link in the invitation message.
2. Zoom will automatically launch if it is installed or prompt to download from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
3. Select between Call using Internet Audio or Dial In for audio options.

Signing in from the Zoom desktop client:

1. Download and Install Zoom (personal computer with admin rights) from https://zoom.us/download
2. Launch Zoom and click the Sign In with SSO option.

3. Enter Massasoit for the company domain and Continue.
4. Sign into the MyMassasoit portal after it launches in the web browser.
5. Allow the page to open “zoom.us”. This will switch to the Zoom application with the account signed in

Note: If Zoom was previously signed in using a free account (ex. using the ‘Sign In with Google’ option with a username@massasoit.edu address) you will only have the option to participate in meetings for 40 minutes. It will be necessary to sign out of Zoom and sign in with one of the options above to use the Massasoit paid license for Zoom without any restrictions.
