Summary
This tutorial explains how to access your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) settings to:
- verify & update your existing sign-in methods
- add an additional method
- remove a method, such as a lost or discarded device
To access these settings, you'll need to authenticate using a working MFA method. If you're unable to sign in or having trouble authenticating, the ITS Help Desk is happy to help.
Verifying and Changing Your MFA Methods
How to get to the MFA Settings:
- Log into the MyMassasoit Portal and click on View All Cards.
- Click on Update Authentication Methods in the Account Settings card:

When you click on Update Authentication Methods, it may prompt you to authenticate using one of your methods in order to access the page.
MFA Options
After authenticating, you'll access the Security info page, which lists out your existing sign-in methods and gives you options to add, change or delete methods:

|
1: Change your default method: In general, sign-ins will default to your most secure method when available. In certain sign-in cases where they aren't, you can choose which method to use by default.
|
2: Add sign-in method: This button allows you to add a new sign-in method to your account. Adding additional methods to your account helps to make it secure and gives you back-up options to make sure you can sign in when you need to.

|
3: Change or Delete a method: To delete or make a change to an existing method, click Change or Delete next to that method.
|
4: Lost device: If you misplace a device used for signing in, use this button to sign out of all active sessions for your account. This prevents anyone who isn't you from gaining access to your account. This button can also be a helpful troubleshooting step for login issues.
